MANHUNT MONDAY: Woman Wanted in Connection to Socorro Baby Kidnapping

Socorro Police said Juan Carlos Martinez, 32, turned himself in on Sunday morning. The Fort Hancock resident had been on the run for almost two months.
Socorro Police say Martinez and three others broke into a woman's house on Holstein Road, stole some documents, and kidnapped the woman's infant son. They attacked her, knocking her to the ground then kicking her as one of the women took the 2-month-old baby who was in a carseat. When officers arrived, they found the infant unhurt in the front yard.
Now, police are looking for Veronica Tarin Gomez. Investigators believe she was one of the attackers who grabbed the victim by the hair and took the baby.
Gomez is wanted for assault, kidnapping and theft. Police say she is considered armed and dangerous. Her last address was in Mexico, but police say she has friends and family in El Paso and Juarez.
