Manhunt Monday: Sheriff's Office Looking for Another Home Repair Con Artist
EL PASO — The El Paso County Sheriff's Office is looking for another home repair con artist who is accused of taking money for repairs that were never completed.
According to the Sheriff's Office, Henry Chavez accepted cash to build a storage shed and buy supplies, but never showed up to do the work. The victim has filed charges against Chavez.
The Socorro Police Department is also looking for Chavez on an unrelated theft charge after another victim also filed charges in a similar incident. The second victim paid Chavez to build a porch, but he never returned after taking the money.
Chavez is wanted for deceptive business practices and theft. He is also wanted on unrelated drug charges from 2005.
