Rodolfo Arce III, is wanted for failing to register as a sex offender.

Arce was convicted of sexually assaulting a 17-year-old girl in 1996.  The terms of his probation require that he register as a sex offender for the rest of his life.

According to the El Paso County Sheriff's Office, Arce has not reported to his probation officer for the past 11 months.

Arce reportedly has family in Anthony, Texas and Canutillo.  Sheriff's deputies believe he is driving a white 2000 Toyota Echo.

If you see him, or have any information on his whereabouts, call Crime Stoppers at 566-TIPS (8477).

Also, the 17 year old girl (keep in mind, they lived together and he worked for her father before he passed away) was his ex-girlfriend who thought it would be prudent to get him back because he had a new girlfriend.

Ah, love's cruel sting...makes some people go whacky and ruins others' lives.

Actually, it was not 11 months. The probation office failed to notify him of their new location (after telling him they would notify him). And he was not aware that he had a new probation officer. After he found out, he reported to her rightaway, and she revoked his probation not even two hours later (she was also very rude -- I was actually in the office at the time).

They wasted a lot of money, treating it as though he murdered an entire city. The 'real' criminals didn't even get as much.

He turned himself in on Tuesday morning. Each time the police/sheriff's office/U.S. Marshals went to his house, it was during his work hours, between 6 a.m. and 8 p.m.. Never earlier, never later. And they were well informed of his work hours.

The case was so ridiculous, he stood in front of the judge for about three minutes total. His lawyer turned him in, and it was a book and release.

11 months???????????????????????????
