According to investigators, three men worked together to rob three different 7-11 stores in central El Paso. The suspects were wearing ski masks and beanies, and one of them had a knife.
The first robbery was at about 9:15 p.m. Tuesday at the 7-11 in the 3400 block of Hondo Pass. About half an hour later, the men threatened employees at the 7-11 in the 2000 block of Piedras. Their final stop was just after 10 p.m. at a 7-11 on Trowbridge.
Investigators do not know exactly how much cash was stolen.
El Paso Police called out a helicopter to search for the three suspects.
The suspects led police on a high speed chase in a stolen SUV before they crashed into the guardrail on U.S. 54 near Montana.
Two of the suspects ran off, but one of the men could not get out of the SUV because of injuries he suffered in the wreck. He was taken to UMC for treatment. Officers caught up with a second suspect. He was also taken to UMC with injuries.
