SOCORRO - 30-year-old Adrian Manuel Moreno, who already had five DWI convictions, is under arrest for possessing a firearm.

Moreno is from San Elizario but had fled the area. Acting on a tip, Socorro police staked out a convenience store at Dindinger and Socorro Road. They found a 9mm handgun in Moreno's car. Because he is a convicted felon, Moreno is not allowed by law to carry a gun.

"The tip came in suddenly and we had to quickly and accurately develop these leads into an arrest," said detective Daniel DeAnda with the Socorro Police Department.

Moreno has been booked into the El Paso County Jail.

Let me prosecute him. PLEASE........

Wow, he is not allowed to carry a gun, but yet he keeps on being released to continue drinking and driving until he kills someone, that is just like carrying a gun or worse.

Here in El Paso we wait until you kill someone before we put you behind bars, it is our policy...Thank God someday the Army will move me out of here!!!!

lmao!!!!!!

Hope he doesn't get the same judge who let the 5 DWI convictions slide. Why was he free anyway? EPCO jail--missplace him for about 60 years.
