EL PASO — A man was taken into custody after a SWAT standoff on Sunday evening.

The incident happened in El Paso's Upper Valley near Butterfield Dr. and Territory Dr..

According to police, the man barricaded himself inside of his home shortly after 8:30 p.m. Sunday.

Crisis negotiators convinced the man to come outside after about 2 hours.
