A 63-year-old man is recovering from a rescue in the Franklin Mountains.

He apparently overexerted himself while hiking and became ill.

Rescue teams helped him down the mountain and he recovered a short time later.

Experts say this serves as a reminder to hikers to carry a cell phone, make sure you're hydrated, and let others know where you're going.
