William Michael O'leary, 51, of Vinton, was rushed to the hospital just before 8 o'clock Tuesday night after crashing his bike on Transmountain near the Border Patrol Museum in Northeast El Paso.
El Paso County Sheriff's deputies say O'leary hit a sign on the median.
He later died at the hospital.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
