El Paso police are searching for a man accused of pushing a woman to the ground while trying to steal e-cigarettes from an East El Paso convenience store.

According to investigators, the suspect walked into the 7-11 store on Montana and Wedgewood and tried to pay with a check, and then a debit card, but both were declined. The clerk told police the man appeared to get nervous, and that's when he allegedly reached across the counter, grabbed the e-cigarettes and ran away.

"The clerk of the store ran after this man, ordering him to stop. Once they got outside, the man had a bicycle and actually threw the bicycle at the employee causing her to fall to the ground and receive minor injuries," said Javier Sambrano with Crime Stoppers of El Paso.

Surveillance cameras at the store captured pictures of the suspect.  He is a white or Hispanic man with a thin build and a goatee.

If you recognize him, call Crime Stoppers of El Paso at 915-566-8477.
