EL PASO — A man is recovering after he was hit by a car in Mission Valley.

Police said Francisco Pichardo, 67, was crossing the street at Alameda and George Orr when he was hit by a car just before 9 p.m. Friday.

Investigators said he was not crossing at the intersection or a crosswalk. Police said they believe Pichardo had been drinking alcohol.

The driver of the car, Jaime Hernandez is not facing charges.
