A man was detained after refusing a traffic stop and speeding from police at 100mph in a 40mph speed limit area. A police officer observed 30-year-old Scott Fanter making unsafe lane changes and failing to signal on Dyer Street.

The officer attempted to stop Fanter, however he refused to stop and also turned off his headlights while the officer was attempting to stop him. A second police unit observed the vehicle as it approached the intersection of Transmountain. Once Fanter observed the second police unit he turned the vehicle on to Transmountain and stopped.

The officers then placed Fanter under arrest for Evading Arrest or Detention with a Motor Vehicle.
