Man dragged by his pick-up truck
El Paso, TX (KTSM) — A 78-year-old man was taken to the hospital Tuesday afternoon after he was dragged by the pickup truck he was working on in his driveway in the 1200 block of Desierto Seco, near High Ridge, on the west side of El Paso.
El Paso Police Spokesperson Darrel Petry said the man was working on his truck in front of his home when it started to roll. He then tried to get into the truck and stop it, but he was dragged by the truck into the roadway. Then, the truck hit a parked car, throwing the man to the ground, according to Petry.
Petry said the man was seriously injured and was taken via ambulance to University Medical Center where he was last listed in critical but stable condition.
The El Paso Police's Special Traffic Investigations section continues their investigation.
