Luzz Marquez was driving down G Avenue in Fabens Tuesday night when he stopped to help a 69 year-old woman after he saw someone hit her with a car.

"I had picked her face off the ground so she wouldn't be breathing the dust and that's when the cop came up and said, "Get the hell out of here. I'm running this show." What show? I have a lady who is on her lasts breaths," Marquez said.

The woman passed away later that night but Marquez., a former emergency medical technician, says he was helping the woman breathe before the deputy told him to stop.

"He wanted me to just release her and just let her die there. I wasn't about to do that.He said I'll get you out of here. I'll have to arrest you or I'll get you the hell out of here. While I'm holding the lady's head."

Marquez says he doesn't know if he could have saved the woman's life, but the deputy crossed the line when he threatened to arrest him.

"The unprofessionalism of the sheriff's deputy is really is uncalled for. They don't need to act like we're out in the wild west," Marquez said.

Marquez says his thoughts go out to the woman's family and even though the deputy made it hard for him to help it won't stop him from trying.

"I'll always stop and help somebody, especially a lady," Marquez said.

The El Paso County Sheriff's Office says it is investigating what happened and we'll let us know what the outcome is.

First you take the undesirables off the street and out of the prisons, rapists, armed robbers, arm them, teach them to kill, give them a license to kill in countries all over this world, and when they are trained return them to the USA to be LAW ENFORCEMENT. Martial Law is HERE. However, amurricans would rather watch television. God bless Americans. God is on our side. Ask George Bush, Newt Gingrich, Sarah Palin, they all talk to GOD and he reassures them. COPOINTMAN.

IT IS THE DUTY OF EVERYONE TO STOP AND RENDER AID ON THE ROAD HE COULDVE JUST CONTINUED GIVING THE WOMAN HELP IF THE SHERIFF ARRESTED HIM HE COULD TAKE HIM IN A COURT TRIAL BECAUSE THERE IS NO NEED FOR HIM TO ARREST MR. MARQUEZ WHAT WOULD HE BE CONVICTED OF? HELPING A WOMAN SURVIVE? ID LIKE TO SEE THIS TRIAL... I WOULDVE SUED HIM.

I agree with Mr. Marquez wholeheartedly. The majority of law enforcement personnel have a mindset that this is indeed still the old lawless West. Their unprofessionalism is unnecessary and arrogant. They need to remind themselves that then don't walk on water.

Frank

Outcome, they won't find anything... whatever!!
