Man charged with arson
Suspect was also wanted for an aggravated kidnapping
EL PASO — El Paso Fire Department Arson Investigators have arrested a man for a December arson case. Investigators say 28-year-old Yoshua Yeremiah Yhisreal intentionally set a car on fire outside an apartment complex.
The arrest happened Wednesday, but investigators say it was back on December 22 of last year when the suspect intentionally set a 2002 Ford Focus on fire at the Sandoval Apartments on Ridge Street. Yhisreal allegedly fled from investigators and was caught after a brief foot pursuit.
Yhisreal was booked into El Paso County Jail on felony arson and also had an active warrant for his arrest for aggravated kidnapping from June 1, 2012. Yhisreal’s bond was set for a total of $100,000.00 ($25,000 for the arson charge and $75,000 for the aggravated kidnapping charge).
