A filmmaker focusing on the violence in Juarez has interviewed several El Paso authors and historians for the documentary.
Charlie Minn says, to him, the violence in Juarez is the worst human rights disaster of our time. He is trying to show his movie in El Paso, Las Cruces, Deming, Albuquerque, Phoenix, and Tucson. We asked him what he hopes to accomplish with the film.
"Awareness to show people how bad this truly is, to see it in pictures and video is a lot worse than lets say reading a headline," Minn said.
The film is still in the editing process but should hit theaters in El Paso and Las Cruces in February of next year.
Last year at this time, Minn was showing his film, "A Nightmare In Las Cruces" about the bowling massacre that occurred in 1990.
