Chaparral man arrested for trying to smuggle heroin in rectum

U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers were able to stop a man who they say was smuggling heroin in his rectum. It happened on Tuesday just after 7 a.m. at the Ysleta Port of Entry.

TRAFFIC ALERT: Crash causing backup on I-10 East near Raynolds

A vehicle crash along I-10 East caused traffic to back up Wednesday night near the Raynolds exit ramp in Central El Paso. The call went out about 9:11 p.m. Emergency crews said an ambulance was en route to the scene.
