EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) - El Paso Police say a crash on I-10 East seriously injured two people Thursday afternoon.
The crash happened around 2 p.m. on I-10 E at Redd Road. Police say the crash involved two vehicles, one of which was a delivery-type truck.
Initially, two people were taken from the scene with injuries that were believed to be life threatening and EPPD's Special Traffic Investigators Unit was called to the scene. Shortly thereafter, the patient's injuries were downgraded and police began working to clear the crash.
Traffic on I-10 East at Redd is still closed to all traffic, a spokesperson with EPPD says I-10 should be reopened by 5 p.m.
Motorists are encouraged to use Doniphan or Mesa as alternate routes.
