Tuesday, December 5, 2006 - Each year, kids are bombarded by thousands of commercial messages for everything from sugary cereals to sexy outfits.
Now, the country's largest group of pediatricians, the American Academy of Pediatrics, says the 40,000 ads young people see every year put their health - and future at risk.
The group has issued a new policy statement calling for change. Medical reporter Helen Chickering has details.
