The pilot, Michael Douglas Perry, was a father of three and Jim Crosby, a father of 5.
Now the people who worked for Crosby tell the story of a small town dentist who loved his family and loved to fly.
In a small town called Eagar, Arizona...just four hours east of Phoenix...A community is mourning the loss of dentist, Jim Crosby.
Crosby was killed while flying a small plane with his best friend Michael Perry. Witnesses say they saw the plane fly into bad weather and go down near Santa Teresa airport. .
Back in Eagar, Arizona at Crosby's dental office...manager, Sheron Jones told Newschannel 9 the staff is in disbelief.
"We're still having a hard time believing that this has happened, we all talked with him on Thursday afternoon," Jones said. "Right now we're just trying to hang in there and get everything kind of under control."
Jones says the staff has been cancelling appointments all day and the office has been receiving calls from folks wanting to help the Crosby family.
"People are calling in, sending their condolences, and want to know if they could do anything and right now, nobody can do anything," Jones said.
Jim Crosby leaves behind five children and wife.
