TEAM COVERAGE: 11 People Shot Outside Graham Central Station

By KTSM News 1

Sunday, September 21, 2008- Trails of blood in the parking lot of the Graham Central Station nightclub in East El Paso tell only part of the story of what happened early Sunday morning.  Police say 11 people were shot in the early morning hours.

Randy Elum is the area manager for Graham Central Station and was at the club managing for the bar's hip hop zone promotion night when the chaos began.

"A fight broke out they escorted the guy outside he went in the parking lot."  says Elum.

Management says the fight broke out inside the Tejano Rose room at the club.  One man was escorted out to the parking lot.  Clubgoers who witnessed the shooting didn't want to go on camera but tell Newschannel 9 that the man left the Tejano Rose room, headed for the parking lot, got a gun and started shooting into the crowd as people left the bar.

"I think we handled it the proper way but when someone goes out to their car it's hard to control what they're going to do."  says Elum.
