Monday, August 25, 2008- Law enforcement on this side of the border now confirm that Mexican drug cartels have given their hit men permission to cross into the U.S. to kill their targets. There are now fears that the bloody violence in Juarez may spill across the border.
El Paso police and federal agents confirm the cartel warnings and say security has been beefed up along the border.
El Paso police spokesman Chris Mears says authorities learned of the threat last week.
