Wednesday, August 6, 2008- Mold growing at one east El Paso Elementary school is creating even new headaches. The mold, caused by rain and humidity, is forcing the district to shut down the school for up to 90 days.
The district says the solution is to have kids in kindergarten and special needs classes go to nearby Glen Cove Elementary. Those in first grade through fifth grade will go to the vacant Parkland Elementary. The problem for parents is that Parkland is nearly 30 minutes away.
While the district is promising bus service for all 832 kids some parents say the changes are inconvenient.
