Early Morning Apartment Fire

By KTSM News 1

Monday, July 14, 2008 - Firefighters believe lightning may have sparked an apartment fire at the corner of Ohio and Tremount in Central El Paso. It happened at around 2 a.m. Firefighters say they saw smoke and flames coming from the attic when they arrived on the scene. They were able to put the fire out after cutting some holes in the unit itself, but the blaze still caused $10,000 in damage. No one was hurt. The El Paso Red Cross was called out to help residents forced out by the fire.
