Residents say the vacant lot has been a popular spot for illegal dumping. They say trucks would show up in broad daylight and in a matter of minutes dump their garbage such as old furniture, drywall and even tires. The residents called the City of El Paso to complain but they said it wasn't their problem. They called city of Socorro and got the same answer leaving the mess only to get bigger. Finally, Newschannel 9 began to investigate and discovered the land belongs to the Public Service Board. The PSB sent a work crew today and started the cleanup.
