Monday, July 07, 2008 – 36-year-old Luis Carbajal is happiest with his students, but the Bel Air High School football and wrestling coach took a forced break two years ago when his kidneys gave out from diabetes complications. Now, he's on dialysis for 9 hours every night until he gets a new kidney. He's prepared to keep up with the dialysis for as long as it takes, but he doesn't give up hope that something good will come from someone else's tragedy.
He hopes his experience will encourage others to become organ donors.
