The fire started just after 5 p.m on Saturday. So far it's burned nearly 1500 acres near Dripping Springs and Soledad Canyon. At last check it was 15 percent contained.
Campers in the area were evacuated, but homeowners are leaving on a voluntary basis.
Investigators say dry brush and heavy winds are making it difficult to put the fire out and it continues to spread. The winds are keeping the fire away from homes but if it changes direction that could be a problem.
Investigators do not know the cause of the fire but they do say it was started by a person.
