If you bought tomatoes from Wal-Mart or Lowe's in Las Cruces since May 3rd you should not eat them uncooked.
The New Mexico Department of Health, says 40 people in New Mexico have contracted salmonella, seven of them are from Doña Ana County. Four have been hospitalized for treatment.
Seven others throughout Texas have also been hospitalized, but no reports of the outbreak have been reported in El Paso.
