Palomas Violence Affects School Kids

Friday, March 28th, 2008 - The insecurity in Palomas, Mexico has prompted more Mexican military troops to be sent to the area. The mayor of Columbus, New Mexico says he hopes their presence will make a difference. The mexican government has sent more than 2500 soldiers and federal police to Chihuahua. Some of them patrol this area of Palomas... where this year, 40 people have been killed. The violence in Palomas hasn't gone unnoticed. Hundreds of American children living there say they cross the border to go to school out of harm's way. NewsChannel 9's Adrienne Alvarez has the story.
