Friday, March 7, 2008 - Police say what started as a race between two cars, turned into a deadly 5-car crash. Investigators tell Newschannel 9 the cars were racing on I-10 West near McRae just after 10 o'clock last night when one of the cars smashed into another.  One man died at the scene and two others were taken to the hospital.  Speed and alcohol are believed to have been factors in the crash. One man was arrested by police.  Traffic on the freeway is being diverted onto Gateway West and McRae while police wrap up their investigation.
