Since February, the El Paso Chihuahuas have been looking for National Anthem singers. There's a new singer each game, so singers had a better chance of success.

No matter the rules nor the game, across the country each and every sports event starts the same - with the singing of the National Anthem.
Before the first game, we met two women who belted it out for the chance to sing during the El Paso Chihuahuas inaugural season.

It takes a bold personality and a bold voice to sing in front of thousands.

"I am a local radio D.J. so I'm not shy at all," said Patricia Campos. "I've always just been singing where ever I can ".

Campos sang the "Star Spangled Banner" at Rhinos Hockey games, at El Pas Streetfest, and KLAQ's Balloonfest. Later this season, she'll add to her resume an El Paso Chihuahuas Baseball game.

"It is a huge deal to have something like this to come to our town, because everybody's always complaining that there's nothing to do," Campos said.

It might not be as easy to make that complaint, now that AAA Baseball is officially underway in the Sun City.
