Local program helps veterans get rid of old meds
El Paso, TX (KTSM) — The El Paso VA Health Care System is providing a safe, free way for veterans to discard their old un-needed prescriptions.
They've teamed up with the Army Substance Abuse Program and the Drug Enforcement Administration to host Friday's event.
The Drug Take Back Program eliminates the risk of the prescriptions being inappropriately used by others and minimizes environmental concerns.
If you missed the Friday's event, you can still attend another one Saturday.
It will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at two different locations at Fort Bliss: the Freedom Crossing main entrance and the commissary main entrance.
