EL PASO – Yesterday, we told you about a pawn shop that's offering Christmas gifts at a discount. Today, that same business is getting attention for what it's doing for the community.

Benny's Pawn Shop and Cash for Gold gave out groceries to 80 families this morning, from the Big Brothers Big Sisters of El Paso program. The families got enough food to whip up a delicious meal for the holidays.

“The families are beyond grateful for this. Many of them would've struggled to put together a feast like they're getting from Benny's...it's really just an amazing thing, said Rebecca Romero, from Big Brothers Big Sisters of El Paso.

The owner of Benny's Pawn Shop said he wants to hand out groceries to needy families again next year; by then, he hopes to deliver groceries to more than 200 families in the El Paso area.
