EL PASO — You might have heard of Comic-Con International, the largest comic book and popular arts convention in the world. 

A little closer to home, local organizers are gearing up for EP-CON 2012.

EP-CON will be held September 15 and 16, from 10a.m.-11p.m. at the El Paso Convention Center.  A special, "Preview Night" will be held on Friday, September 14 from 6p.m.-10p.m.  A three day pass must be purchased to attend the Friday Preview Night.

The three day pass is $35 in advance, and $45 at the door. 
To attend on Saturday only, the cost is $40, and Sunday only is $25. 

Tickets can be purchased at the Plaza Theatre Box Office, all area Ticketmaster locations, online at Ticketmaster.com or by calling 1-800-745-3000.  Military ID holders will receive a $5 discount.
