Local organizations give food to 600 families in El Paso
EL PASO (KTSM) — From a drop in unemployment benefits, to cuts in food stamps, more El Pasoans are struggling to put food on the table.
Two local organizations are teaming up to help feed El Paso families through a food giveaway called 'United We Feed.' It's happening on Thursday, January 30, at the Kennedy Brothers Apartment Community Gym, 400 S. Zaragoza Rd., from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
On a first come, first serve basis, Operation H.O.P.E. (Help Other People Endure) and El Pasoans Fighting Hunger Food Bank plan on giving boxes of food away to more than 600 families.
