LAS CRUCES/EL PASO - The mayors of the Borderland's two largest cities are making it a point to keep in touch.

Las Cruces Mayor Ken Miyagishima and El Paso Mayor John Cook will meet one-on-one with constituents on February 23rd.

Miyagishima will host a "Mayor's Night In" on the 23rd from 5-7 p.m. in council chambers at City Hall, 700 N. Main Street.

The mayor says the “Mayor’s Night In” is in addition to the citywide district meetings he will host in March and September.

Mayor John Cook will hold his monthly "Open Door" meeting on the 23rd from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at El Paso City Hall, 10th floor, 2 Civic Plaza.

The mayor says he welcomes concerns, ideas or input on how to improve our community.

This is so sad and frightening. Anybody remember seeing President Bush continuing to read a story book while NY was being annihilated ? Hello Mayor Cook, Rome is burning and your in trouble. Snyde comments, half hearted jokes, belligerence and BBQ sauce won't save el paso. When's the election? Maybe we can elect Ray Nagan? Wake up and smell the richochet.
