Local comic book artist showing off work in El Paso

El Paso, Texas (KTSM) — An El Paso native, turned comic book writer is holding a book signing in the Borderland on Saturday.
Jaime "Jimmy" Portillo is the author and artist of three popular comic books: Gabriel, The Railroad Killer, and Hell Paso: The Story of Dallas Stoudenmire.
He currently lives in Monterey, CA, where his wife, Maribel, is attending Naval Postgraduate School.
Death Moon Comics (Juarez, MX), Badassery Studios, Urban Myth Studios, Rudy Vasquez, and Ghost Rider legendary artist, Javier Saltares, are contributing artists.
Portillo has appeared in a number of comic book conventions, and was invited twice to the San Diego Comic Con, the world's biggest comic book convention.
He signed a developmental deal this past summer with MX Digital to turn Hell Paso: The Story of Dallas Stoudenmire into an online gambling game.
If you want to attend the comic book signing, it's taking place at All Star Comics on Saturday, December 21 from 11 to 6 p.m. The store is located at 4406 Dyer.
