EL PASO - Remember those strange lights over El Paso that caused such a stir in October? The mystery continues to grab national attention.
There's a show on the SyFy network called "Fact or Faked" that breaks down weird events nationwide. An episode has been airing all month investigating those strange lights that appeared in El Paso's night sky. Footage shot by our own photographer, Ram Moreno, has attracted more than 860,000 views on YouTube.
The paranormal re-creators prepared themselves for an out-of-this-world experience. The mission? Investigate a strange light formation that The Amigo Airsho takes credit for. There are still some doubters out there. First the team set off balloons, but to their dismay, it was no match. So they set up a rocket to set off flares and try to re-create the lights. But it's not until they try an experiment with three skydivers who have flares strapped to their ankles that they call it case closed. This maneuver is very similar to one used by the team in the Amigo Airshow.
This isn't the first time the show has investigated the paranormal in the borderland. An older episode shows some mysterious sand circles discovered in El Paso.
