Newly passed laws in Colorado legalizing recreational marijuana use are spawning a new industry: pot clubs with munchie bars.

In Denver, the New Year Heralds in several new recreational marijuana clubs. The state's governor signed a constitutional amendment allowing non-medical private pot use just about a month ago. One such business, called "Club 64" welcomed new members at their grand opening yesterday with reggae music and a flashing disco-style light show.

Club 64 is named after the pot amendment, Amendment 64. To join the club, members pay a $30 fee and agree to bring their own pot since the drug cannot be sold inside the club, nor served in food.

Some members say the club's opening symbolizes freedom from prohibition.

Club 64 and a similar club located in southern colorado are considered the first two legal pot dens in the state. By the end of the first day, Club 64 had 200 members.
