LAS CRUCES - New information to report in a bizarre Las Cruces police case.
Two officers who were the first to respond to a sword-wielding man last month are back on active duty.
You may recall, 23-year-old Lance Hummell was shot to death while carrying the sword at the Mesilla Manor apartments.
The Las Cruces Police Chief believes Hummell was suicidal at the time.
A special task force is determining whether the officer's decision to shoot Hummell was justified.
