Second to Disappear in a Week
LAS CRUCES--- Another woman has been reported missing in the borderland; the second person to disappear this week.
Judith Elizabeth Flores, 20, went missing last Saturday, said Las Cruces police investigator Sgt. Kiri Daines.
Flores borrowed a friend's car and said she was going to El Paso for work, said Daines.
She was last seen driving a Metallic Grey 2001 Chevy Prizm with Texas license plates.
Police are concerned because Flores has young children and believe she wouldn't just take off, said Daines.
Law enforcement in El Paso has also been alerted.
Meanwhile, investigators are still working to identify a woman who was found in the Santa Teresa, N.M. desert.
Dona Ana County Sheriff's investigators say another woman made the discovery early Friday morning.
Since then, the investigation has been handed over to El Paso police.
The family of an El Paso woman who's also been missing since last Saturday was contacted by city police Friday after the discovery of the body.
Gloria Marmolejo was reported missing two days before her 55th birthday.
Investigators said the body found in the desert Friday is similar in age and build to Marmolejo, but the family maintained Saturday that no connection has been made.
If you have any information on Flores' whereabouts, call Las Cruces Crimestoppers at 575-526-8000. Regarding Marmolejo's disappearance, call El Paso Crimestoppers at 915-566-TIPS (8477)
