A 17-year-old girl who was hit by a truck and dragged 150 feet at a party over the weekend in Las Cruces is still in critical, but stable condition, according to the Dona Ana County Sheriff's Department.

Investigators, who are still working the case, say the victim, “did not know, was not related, nor had any prior relationship with the driver of the vehicle.”

The teenager, who's name has not been released, was at a party around 4:00 a.m. Sunday in the 5200 block of Comanche Trail when a fight broke out.

Deputies say one of the people who was beat-up in the fight sped off in a truck and hit the teenager who he didn't see, because he was scared for his life. The victim was taken to UMC in El Paso.

No criminal charges have been filed and arrests have been made.
