The New Mexico Department of Health’s Las Cruces Public Health Office will hold H1N1 immunizations clinics from 5 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday December 9th and Wednesday December 16th. Immunizations will be done by appointment only and will be limited to high risk priority groups.

Only injectable vaccine will be provided and each clinic is limited to 300 appointments. People interested in scheduling an appointment can call 575-528-5090 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. The Las Cruces Public Health Office is located at 1170 North Solano.

Appointments will only be given to the following priority groups: pregnant women, children 6 months to 2 years of age, and adults 2 to 64 years of age with a chronic health condition.

To help prevent the spread of the flu cover your cough, wash your hands often and stay home when you’re sick. Sick people should stay home for 24 hours after your fever breaks without using a fever-reducing medicine.
