Las Cruces — Summer rains have resulted in an abundance of weed growth throughout the community. The City of Las Cruces reminds residents to keep their properties weed free. Codes Enforcement officers will be on the lookout and will meet with residents whose properties may be in violation of city ordinance. It is best to remove weeds when they first appear. Land owners whose properties have highly visible weed growth could face monetary penalties of up to $500 and/or 90 days in jail.
The City of Las Cruces appreciates residents' cooperation in keeping our community looking better by maintaining their property and keeping them free of weeds.
