LAS CRUCES, N.M. — Gas prices in Las Cruces reached a low that hasn't been seen in a long time Monday night.

An Alon Pic Quik gas station on Avenida De Mesilla dropped it's price for a gallon of regular unleaded gas to $2.29 for about 3 hours.  

Employees say the move came after the Murphy Express gas station across the street also dropped their price.
