The second annual Las Cruces Country Music Festival and Rodeo will be headlined by the legendary Charlie Daniels Band and rising country music superstar Cassadee Pope. The festival will be held April 24 to 27, 2014, on Main Street in downtown Las Cruces, N.M.

The following is a listing of all events scheduled before and during the festival.

Thursday, April 24th
7:00 PM
Songwriters Workshop - Prolific songwriter Tommy Lee James (6 #1 country songs as well as composed music for Christina Aguilera, One Direction and Joe Walsh) will host a songwriters workshop at the Corbett Center Auditorium on the campus of NMSU. Tommy will be joined by newcomer Chase Bryant who was recently signed with Red Bow Records and Bri Bagwell, Texas Female Artist of the Year for 2nd straight year.

8:00 PM
VIP Event: A special event to celebrate the Country Music Festival and our New Mexico True Experience. Join the Las Cruces Convention and Visitors Bureau, The New Mexico Tourism Department and other VIPs at M-5 Martini Grill (901 Avenida de Mesilla) for an evening of fun and special surprises. Special performances by Bri Bagwell, Chase Bryant, Tommy Lee James and comic Gene Merola. A great opportunity for press interviews and artists performing songs that are not part of their usual play list.

Bri Bagwell will visit Sonoma Elementary School (4201 Northrise Dr.)

Friday, April 25th

Performers visit local schools - Bri Bagwell will go back to her elementary school East Picacho Elementary School (4450 N Valley Dr.) to give a brief performance and answer questions from students. Tommy Lee James and Chase Bryant will be visiting Picacho Middle School (1040 N. Motel Blvd.) to do the same.

10:00 AM
Agricultural Tour - James Wesley will visit the College of Agriculture at NMSU to receive a first-hand glimpse of the exciting projects currently in process. Contact the CVB for location details.

10:30 AM
Tommy Lee James and Chase Bryant will perform at Onate High School (5700 Mesa Grande Dr.).

5:00 PM
Main Street Downtown, gates to Country Music Festival open. Performances start on the New Mexico True Local Stage.
NMSU Rodeo begins (NMSU campus, east of Aggie Memorial Stadium). James Wesley will sing the National Anthem.

7:00 PM
Main Street Downtown. Music on the New Mexico True Main Stage begins. Performers include: Chase Bryant,James Wesley, The Charlie Daniels Band.

Saturday, April 26th

8:30 AM
A Special Farmers and Crafts Market (Main Street Downtown) featuring over 300 vendors, the Avenue Art chalk art competition, a British Car Show, and local entertainers performing on the New Mexico True Main Stage and throughout the market.

5:00 PM
Main Street Downtown, gates to Country Music Festival open. Performances start on the New Mexico True Local Stage.
NMSU Rodeo begins (NMSU campus, east of Aggie Memorial Stadium).

7:00 PM
Main Street Downtown. Music on the New Mexico True Main Stage begins. Performers include: Bri Bagwell, Casey James, Cassadee Pope.

Sunday, April 27th

Country Brunch at the New Mexico Farm & Ranch Heritage Museum (4100 Dripping Springs Rd.) The brunch features acoustic performances by some of the festival artists and a Western Wear fashion Show featuring the NMSU Men's Rodeo Team and contestants from the Miss New Mexico pageant and other guest models.

1:00 PM
Final performance of NMSU Rodeo (NMSU campus, east of Aggie Memorial Stadium).
