Komen Trailer Makes Pit Stop at UTEP
EL PASO - It's big and gawdy and is attracting lots of attention on the UTEP campus.
And that is just what the Komen for the Cure trailer is designed to do.
Organizer John Payne says the trailer is helping create awareness about breast cancer and the importance of early detection.
"There would be about 350 new diagnoses of breast cancer here in El Paso. The only bad thing is as far as breast cancer goes is we're higher than the state average."
This is the trailer's third stop to UTEP in the past five years.
