El Paso — The 23-year old El Pasoan convicted of 2 counts of intoxication manslaughter and 2 counts of intoxication assault is scheduled to be sentenced at 9 AM Thursday. Miguel Vargas is accused of driving his Lancer at speeds more than 90 mph in December 2011. His car crashed through a rock wall, ejecting two of his passengers instantly killing them. The rest of the passengers were severely injured.

Vargas's blood alcohol content at the time was more than 3 times the legal limit.
