Jury finds Charles Marquez guilty in sex trafficking case
A lengthy sex trafficking trial finally came to an end Friday as a jury found Charles Marquez guilty on all counts. Marquez now faces up to twenty years in prison.
The counts included the sex trafficking of children and sex trafficking by force.
The operation recruited women from Juarez to work in El Paso as prostitutes. Several of the witnesses who worked for Marquez testified during trial that they were scared to leave Marquez, because he told them he had contacts in law enforcement agencies and could have them deported or jailed.
