As the death toll in Juarez approaches 2,000 a former Chihuahua State Police Officer is the latest to be executed.
Alberto Sanchez was found shot to death in a north Juarez neighborhood. We're told he was part of an investigative unit that was looking into mass graves found throughout the state.
He was shot at least seven times.
In other news, a driver hauling food for livestock was ambushed by a group of gunmen in Juarez.
He was shot to death and two others who were in the truck with him were also shot.
No one was arrested in either of these shootings.
