Cd. Juarez, Chih. (KTSM) — The Red Bulletin, a men's active lifestyle magazine released a video featuring Juarez nightclub Hardpop. The nightclub, located in a strip mall in Juarez has hosted a weekly roster of world-famous DJ's. The feature story “Last Night a DJ Saved My Life” appears in the print and digital editions of the February issue of The Red Bulletin on newsstands January 14.

The video featurette highlights the challenges that Hardpop club owners have overcome in recent years. Hardpop was voluntarily shut down for 10 months at one point when extortionist threats by the drug cartels put the club’s talent and patrons at risk for abduction. In a city which for many years had an average of 5.8 murders a day, two dedicated female club patrons, Perla and Denisse, “adapted to living unafraid at the possibility of being killed.”
“Hardpop is the essence of the city’s healing process, because violence in Juárez is all about greed, selfishness, trampling over everybody to get what you want, and when you come here, honestly, it’s all about peace, love and respect.” club engineer Bill Weir said.
The Hardpop club attracts people of all social classes demonstrating that music truly can be the greatest equalizer.
